Biography

Rut Karin was born at the west coast of sweden in 1984. Se holds a master of fine art from The Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm and have studied art at Makere University in Kampala and at ISA, university for fine Art in Havana. Rut Karin is based in stockholm and works with video art and short films. Her recent films are about subcultures in exotic countries and circulates around dance and futuristic ideas about possibilities of how to change the world.

2009-2011- You Look like Milk - An artistic research project about how we create the picture of”the other”, within the project two films

were created, one in Kenya and one in Sweden. Cooperation with Lena Bergendahl, Jennifer Rainsford and Film front Nairobi.
